Hey everyone it’s the Realty Queen and I’m back with some real estate numbers for you for the first 14 days of August. Now, what’s typically known as a slow month, was anything but with sales up 22% when compared to the same time last year. There was also tons of active first time buyers out there buying up more affordable properties such as semi-detached homes and condos which saw price increases of 12.6% and 7.8%. Now, the average selling price in the 416 area for the first fourteen days of August was $507,288 which was a pretty stable number when compared to last year’s numbers, so now what does this all mean? It means there are still tons of active buyers out there trying to buy up a property before the fall market rush begins which, by the way, is just around the corner. Now if you’re looking for specific information I think I got about 47 neighbourhood-specific reports I could send to you on a monthly basis. All you gotta do is go to www.torontoweststats.com and get yourself on the list, it’s that easy. So we’ll tune back here soon as I will be back with the numbers for the full month of August and enjoy the last long weekend of the summer. I know, it’s pretty depressing.
